Houston's Frost Gets 2000th Hit Tuesday, September 20th , 1977 The box score from yesterday's game will show that Houston beat the Dallas Wranglers, 4-2. It will also show that right fielder Jackie Frost went 2-for-4 for the Drillers. It will not show, however, that Frost reached the 2000-hit mark for his career. The 32-year-old Frost reflected on the achievement after the game. He mused: "In one respect, it's a real milestone, I guess. Yet, it's just a base hit like any other base hit." In 1706 games Frost has a career .301 batting average and a .349 on-base percentage. He has hit 143 home runs with 811 RBIs and 992 runs scored. View Boxscore View Game Log Watch Highlights |
