Chicago Season Won't Continue in Playoffs Wednesday, August 29th , 1973 Chicago Hawks fans have long since given up any meager playoff hopes. The Hawks made it official today, becoming mathematically eliminated from qualifying for the postseason. This is the club's 8th playoff miss in a row. They last appeared in the postseason in 1965. In total, the Hawks have missed the playoffs 24 times in their 28-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Hawks have made the playoffs 3 times. Chicago last won the World Series in 1965. |
