St. Louis Wins League Championship Series Tuesday, October 11th , 1977 All playoffs end with joy on one side and despair on the other. Today, the St. Louis Explorers are the ones feeling overwhelmed with excitement, and the Kansas City Bulls are the ones thinking about what they could have done differently. The Explorers took a 5-1 victory at Corps of Discovery Stadium today, which gave St. Louis a 4-1 series win. With the win, St. Louis will advance to play in the World Series. "We aren't ready to go home yet," said Explorers third baseman Adam Voeller, who was named series MVP. The St. Louis Explorers don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Montreal Habitants - San Francisco Seagulls series. San Francisco leads the series 3 games to 2. The World Series schedule will be announced after the League Championship Series finishes. View Boxscore View Game Log Watch Highlights |
