Seattle Blanked by Brooks
Sunday, September 21st , 1975
It was not a good day at the plate for the Seattle Emeralds. They came up empty when it mattered against San Francisco Seagulls right-hander Ray Brooks, who scattered 3 hits across 9 innings and held the Emeralds scoreless.
"We had 3 hits so I know he wasn't completely untouchable, but he was close," Seattle manager Mark Velez said later.
Brooks chalked up 4 strikeouts and 7 walks in the 5-0 Seagulls win.
This year, Brooks has a 4-3 record and a 4.46 ERA.
