San Francisco Silences Montreal, 1-0
Sunday, August 25th , 1974
San Francisco Seagulls starter Tim Stambaugh really did a number on the Montreal Habitants, shutting them out, 1-0, on 4 hits in a complete game victory. He issued 1 walk and had 5 strikeouts.

"We didn't have good at-bats," said Montreal manager Michel Alexandre Cauchon. "I don't make excuses, but when we were playing the game, our energy didn't show. That comes from either extremely good pitching or extremely lousy hitting and seeing as our team has a bunch of good hitters, I have to tip my cap to Stambaugh."

This season, Stambaugh has fashioned a 18-6 mark and 2.04 ERA in 216.2 innings. Opposing clubs are batting .211 against him and he has logged 130 strikeouts.
