New York Blanks Houston, 11-0
Sunday, August 25th , 1974
It was not a good day at the plate for the Houston Drillers. They came up empty when it mattered against New York Empires right-hander Nate Frampton, who scattered 1 hit across 9 innings and held the Drillers scoreless.
"We had 1 hit so I know he wasn't completely untouchable, but he was close," Houston manager Jared Placeholder said later.
Frampton chalked up 5 strikeouts and 1 walk in the 11-0 Empires win.
Over the season Frampton has thrown 213.2 innings and dished out 138 strikeouts with a 13-12 mark and a 3.20 ERA.
