Kemp Blanks St. Louis, 11-0
Friday, May 30th , 1958
George Kemp handcuffed the St. Louis Explorers at Castle Point Field today, coming away with a 5-hit, complete game shutout.
"I had everything working for me out there," the Cincinnati Packers right-hander said later. "I used every one of my pitches, hit both sides of the plate really well and felt like I could do whatever I wanted."
With his stuff working, Kemp had little trouble with the Explorers and led the Packers to victory, 11-0. He recorded 7 strikeouts and 1 walk in an impressive performance.
