Brooklyn Slaps 2-1 Loss on Quakers

Both teams had their chances, but the Brooklyn Bluebirds eventually prevailed.
Brooklyn got a strong outing from Dave Teckenbrock as the Bluebirds defeated the Philadelphia Quakers, 2-1, at Quakers Stadium. The victory gives the Bluebirds a record of 61-54.
Dave Fogarty had a direct impact on the outcome. Fogarty contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the third inning to put Brooklyn up, 2-0.
"We came out on the wrong end of this one," said Philadelphia skipper Jeff Green.
