9-2 Bluebirds Win over Eagles Evens Season Record
The Brooklyn Bluebirds rode a solid performance from 23-year-old starting pitcher Dave Gaultney to a win, beating the Washington Eagles, 9-2, at Flatbush Park. Gaultney picked up the win for Brooklyn, going 8.2 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 10 hits. He now sports a record of 2-0. The Eagles drop to 6-13, as their stumbling start to the 1975 season continues.

With Brooklyn leading 3-2 in the bottom of the sixth, Gaultney hit a 2-run single off Washington hurler Alex Fonseca. It was the 1st hit of the season for Gaultney and put his team ahead, 5-2.

"I tried to mix it up, keep them off balance," said Gaultney.
