Bobcats Win, 5-0, as Baird Mystifies San Diego
|
In a remarkable performance, Cleveland Bobcats starter Myron Baird beat the San Diego Captains, 5-0, in an impressive 6-hit shutout.
"My arm felt good, mechanics were good and my stuff was working," he said later. "It doesn't get any better than this."
The Bobcats hurler finished with 4 strikeouts and 2 walks. He showed pinpoint control and a sharp fastball.
"It was a rough one for my guys," San Diego manager Joe Mack said, following the game. "We weren't at our best and their guy was."
On the year, Baird has worked 64 innings with 40 strikeouts en route to a 4-2 record and 1.97 ERA.
