|
Ron Somers helped his team muscle past the San Francisco Seagulls, 6-3. In the game, the Dallas first baseman was 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Steve Coomes, the winning pitcher, improved to 3-5. He pitched 6 innings, giving up 9 hits and 3 runs, while striking out 2 and walking 3. Frank Dunn wrapped it up, recording his 3rd save.
Starting Pitcher Steve Coomes made an impact for Dallas, when he swatted a run-scoring double off Jerry Patrick in the bottom of the second. For the contest, Coomes threw 6.0 innings allowing 3 runs.
