Harrison Leads Philadelphia to 1-0 Win Over Washington
Wednesday, May 14th , 1975
Goose eggs were the order of the day for the Washington Eagles as starter Fred Harrison shut them out, 1-0, at Monument Field. The Philadelphia pitcher struck out 4 and walked 1 while allowing 6 hits.
"Harrison was good but he wasn't flawless," Washington manager Brandon Tucker said. "We had a few opportunities to make something happen and we didn't do it. Not to take anything away from Philadelphia, but this is on us."
His record this year is 3-2 in 7 starts and Harrison has a 2.91 ERA.
