Scott Spins 4-0 Shutout Tuesday, August 24th , 1965 Joe Scott pitched a strong game at Dominion Field today, blanking the Chicago Hawks 4-0. Scott allowed no runs on 4 hits, totaled 6 strikeouts and gave up 3 walks. Toronto manager Jim Burns said he could tell immediately it was going to be a good game for Scott. "Right from the start, you could see how economical he was," Burns said. "He threw a lot of strikes." For the year Scott has compiled a 10-8 record with a 2.94 ERA.
