Abreu Socks It to Hawks, Cracks 5 Hits

5 times is the charm -- at least for Mario Abreu.

The Los Angeles Pobladores left fielder tore up the Chicago Hawks to the tune of 5 hits in 5 at-bats at Hyde Park Stadium. The offensive onslaught from Abreu powered the 4-1 Pobladores win.

"Abreu was a tough out," Chicago manager Mike Flaherty said to the press in the postgame interview. "He hit some very good pitches with that quick bat of his. Not an easy out, that's for sure."

Mario Abreu singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.

So far this season, Abreu is hitting .273 with 1 home run.
