Mike Haskett Blanks Seattle, 1-0
Friday, July 19th , 1974
Goose eggs were the order of the day for the Seattle Emeralds as starter Mike Haskett shut them out, 1-0, at Puget Field. The Chicago pitcher struck out 4 and walked 1 while allowing 6 hits.
"Haskett was good but he wasn't flawless," Seattle manager Mark Velez said. "We had a few opportunities to make something happen and we didn't do it. Not to take anything away from Chicago, but this is on us."
On the season, Haskett has a 1-2 record with a 1.37 ERA.
