Chicago Shuts Out Twin Cities Behind Taylor, 7-0

Chicago Hawks hurler Carl Taylor logged a 7-hit, complete game shutout over the Northmen, stopping them 7-0 at Hyde Park Stadium today.

"I felt great out there," Taylor said in his postgame interview. "After the second or third inning, I got real comfortable. Hopefully this is a building block for me. I'd love a few more starts like this."

He rung up 3 strikeouts and gave up 1 walk in the performance.

Taylor has fashioned a 14-11 mark for the season, 3.12 ERA and thrown 216.1 innings in 28 starts. Opposing clubs are batting .252 against him.
