Harrison Shuts Out Denver, 1-0 Thursday, August 15th , 1974 Fred Harrison kept the Denver Burros hitters from doing much damage at Gates Crescent Park. Denver could only muster 5 hits and draw 2 walks against the left-handed Harrison, who controlled them throughout the game. Philadelphia won the contest, 1-0. Harrison added 6 strikeouts in his complete-game effort. "I don't know if I was on or if they were off today," Harrison told reporters after the shutout win.
